General Information
Why do the companies have to apply the Mobile Device Management System?

To meet the GDPR EU hard rules and laws (obligatory separation of the company and private data and protection these at the same time from malevolent people and softwares)
Virus protection from the direction of mobile devices.
The company letter mailbox can be reached only with authentication (name and password, or fingerprint id/face id)
To prevent data leaks caused by malevolent person or malware, so the damage of corporate data assets is minimalized.

II. F.A.Q.

1. Do you know that you can set a passcode ID within MaaS360 which can make the login process to the app faster? If your mobile supports it you can use the face ID too.
(Settings -> PIN Settings -> Touch Id to unlock)

MaaS360 requires the 4-digit-long passcode after the first starting.
It might be changed later in the menu below:
Settings -> Passcode -> Change Passcode

Face ID
There is a possibility to use FACE ID authentication too in the app. For this first you have to set it in the iOS system.

2. Have you ever used or could you use the Multiple Account? Multiple Account means that on one device more official mailbox accounts are used.
This is not a default feature. Change of Exchange details is needed via the IT department.

Multiple Account is only ready to use if it is set on the Exhchange server by Lightware IT. Multiple Account allows the users to see the folder hierarchy of a mailbox group and their letters and handle them like their own. It can be done in Outlook and Maas360 too if you add the mail group as follows:
Settings->
Mail, Contacts, Calendar, Tasks-> +Delegate->type in the mailbox name, which we would like to delegate and name it (obligatory). As soon as this setting happens, the mailbox will be accessible.

3. Did you know there is a downloadable MaaS Browser within the MDM system, which is opened automatically on the mobile device if you get a link via e-mail? Do you know about the advantages of it?

4. Do you know how you can avoid the Contact list duplication easily and fast if you buy a new mobile device and install the MaaS360 app to it?

Maas360 provides a protected browser for all users. If we open a link, which is in one of our letters then the MDM will automatically offer the installation of this browser. But we can install the protected browser manually too by clicking on:

MaaS360 dashboard -> Browser icon

Advantages:

you can open private/official web sites safely and the company’s web applications too

decreases the threats which are on fake web sites (e.g. viruses, data theft, … etc.)

reduces the possibility of infection of the mobile device

5. Do you use MaaS360 on other multimedia device (e.g. tablet) and if yes then what do you think of it?

The last step of the installation and setting of MDM is to give the password of the company mailbox. Search the ’Sync Contacts to Devices’ menu point and untick the checkbox.
If you haven’t done it at this step, you have a chance to do it later by clicking on:

Contacts ->
Export Corporate Contacts turn off ->
Remove Contacts Exported By MaaS360.

6. The established and used folder structure on the Exchange server (Inbox) is the same as on the MaaS360. Do you have any problem with it?

MaaS360 synchronizes the mail folder structure from the Exchange Server, just like the Outlook does it. Therefore there aren’t any differences.

7. The private and corporate contacts appear separately using the same policy as on the Exchange server. Do you need our help to use or set it up?

MaaS360 handles the contacts list separately. There are private and company (inner) contacts. Through the MaaS360 app we can only add the private contacts. The contacts which are added this way can be displayed on the mobile too if you set the synchronization. However, the company part can only list those Lightware inner contacts, which are added in the Active Directory.

8. Do you know that the smart watch can display the MaaS notifications? Unfortunately these cannot be edited on the watch, because the smartwatch can’t execute the right IT security authentication.
